Summary of 3 previous parts of the Ice Scream series
Ice Scream is a series of horror adventure games revolving around Rod, a whimsical ice cream vendor. He always wears an old rabbit mask, crumpled and torn in one corner, driving a colorful RV around town selling ice cream. But it’s all just a disguise, behind the funny naivete is a cold-blooded killer. He sells ice cream to lure and kidnap children.
Part 1 of the series is about a child abduction case that Rod did. Parts 2 and 3 reveal Rod’s life and childhood along with a little bit of why he turned from a shy kid to such a perverted kidnapper.
In the first 3 seasons, there were 3 victims of being kidnapped with Rod’s cunning schemes and different cruel ways. J, a clever and talented boy who discovered Rod’s whole scheme (but no adult believes it) tries his best to free the pitiful victims, but the mission may fail. Part 3 ends when J comes up with an extremely dangerous way, fattening himself by eating a lot of ice cream made with special ingredients left by his 3 friends, and deliberately letting Rod take him away. And the journey to rescue friends begins here.

Continuing with the events left unfinished in part 3, after throwing J in with his three friends, Rod left. Guard J and three friends are two robots: a cleaning robot, a guard robot. Rob also has another robot with a very large size, which is responsible for protecting the whole ice cream factory. These three Mini Rods have in common that as soon as they detect anything unusual from you, they will emit a loud sound to signal Rod.
Ice Scream 4 mainly revolves around J’s exploration in this creepy ice cream factory. And your task is to find a way to escape the pursuit of these three robots, find the Control room to press the button to open the cage door to free your three friends.
After a while, J came to the exhibition area with mysterious numbers and many events that helped J somewhat speculate what happened in the past and childhood of the kidnapper Rod. Combining these numbers we have a puzzle that, if solved, J will be equipped with a stun gun. After some chase, J managed to trap Boris, the biggest robot, to disable him.
Before the three children could go far, Rod returned to the cell. They were so confused that they jumped into 3 pipes. Unfortunately, none of these three pipes came out, but in fact, they just wandered around in different rooms of the factory. As for J, after pressing the button, Rod caught him and put him in the cage. And he continued to search for the three children who were trying to escape. Part 4 ends here. Gameplay
The operation is quite easy, you simply follow the instructions displayed in the middle of the screen, then touch the screen to move and perform the assigned task. But the main difficulty is the conundrum, roundabout and unwanted appearances of Rod and the new henchmen (Mini Rods) in part 4. You should note that no matter which mode you choose, every time Rod appears, the game speed will be faster than usual to make your heart always beat very fast.
In the previous parts, Rod was both hideous, scary and difficult, but in this part, he also has 3 more robots, which are 3 mutant chickens in the previous parts. And just in the process of searching everywhere, you bump into one of the two robots, they will immediately scream, ring the bell to call Rod to come immediately. And if you can’t find the way in time, the game is over.
The game has 4 game modes: Ghost, Easy, Normal, Hard. Depending on your ability to withstand blows and take “heartbreaks”, you just choose the game screen that suits you. But no matter how you play, there are a few unchanging principles that correspond to it. For example, when choosing Easy mode, the enemy will move very slowly, not smartly. Even if you face them, you are not in too much danger. Moreover, you have up to 3 lives to play in each scene in Easy mode.
Predictions for the next part
From the information from 4 parts, there are some hints for us, but it is all just speculation. Evil Nun is a mother who lost her daughter. She used the devil to conceive a new child, Rod. Evil Nun was also the one who gave his son Rod to the ice cream vendor Joseph.
Evil Nun may also have been responsible for Joseph’s tragic accident when she discovered that he had stolen her secret ice cream recipe. And Rod became a psychopathic murderer as he is now because of his obsessively bullied childhood and the great loss of his only loved one (Joseph). All in all, we also don’t know when this demon family will be reunited and if there are any more secrets hidden in the story. However, the story stops here for now.

Ice Scream 4: Rod’s Factory is really a good 3D horror adventure game with a rare theme, and an attractive plot with many hidden hints, both with criminal elements (child abduction) and demonic elements (Evil Nun, Satan…).
No need for too many jumpscare, just a few discrete, broken music notes, climax rhythms when Rod appears with a simple 3D image but dark enough for you to always feel haunted in every detail. The way the story is told through a mysterious, monstrous voice is also a very interesting point, in my opinion. If you love horror games, you need to play this Ice Scream series today.
